Calm The Ham was founded in June 2012 by architect and designer Cathryn Lavery who was looking for a way to ignite, convey, and create art on her own terms. She joined forces with friends and fellow artists Josh Latta, a cartoon genius, and architect / designer Matt Drury. Together they became a band of independent artists fighting life’s monotony through design; doing their best to make the world just that little bit more awesome with their work.

Daughter, Lexi, named the store after her amazing mom who always encouraged her to open a vintage shop. Antoinette worked in the fashion industry in the late 1950′s for the well known NYC based French milliner Lilly Dache and collected so many great finds from the chicest stores while working in the city in those days. She also held onto certain pieces all the way up until the 90′s. This wonderful shop located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is outfitted with all those cherished finds from over the years.
